Soft Washing
Soft washing is the use of water-based, biodegradable chemicals to break down dirt and grime, get rid of bug nests and webs, kill mold, mildew, algae and bacteria – leaving the surface clean and sterilized.
Soft washing consumes just one-third of the water that pressure or power washing does, lasts 4 - 6 times longer, and does not erode or harm the surface like pressure washing frequently can. Soft washing also does far more than power washing because it does more than just clean your roof. The products utilized in the SoftWash System don't simply tidy; they penetrate, sanitize, and eliminate the root of the issue.
Treating your roof with soft washing is more like pest control – the mix of safe, biodegradable chemicals make sure that the bacteria that create buildup are not just partly swept away, but eradicated completely.
Roof Cleaning and More
Soft washing can be carried out on a wide range of surfaces where algae and bacteria grow. The same bacterium that causes black streaks on roofs can likewise grow on:
- Concrete
- Brick
- Tile
- Wood
- Vinyl Siding
- Aluminum
- And more…
If you're trying to find a way eliminate what's growing on the surface of your roof, deck or fence, break the cycle of bothersome power washing and use a solution that can remove the issue 100%.
Biodegradable, Eco-Friendly Chemicals in SoftWash
Oftentimes, people are scared of the word "chemicals," however it's actually not such a dirty word. In fact, everything is a chemical, even water (hydrogen dioxide).
The chemicals used in soft washing help break down contaminants and infestations, so they can be quickly rinsed away. They do all the work without all the pressure. Our chemicals are water based, ship non-hazardous, and are biodegradable, meaning they break down into carbon and water within twenty (20) days after their introduction into the environment; leaving no contaminants behind.
4 Biggest Reasons to Choose Soft Washing
There are plenty of reasons to select soft washing over pressure or power washing, but here are our biggest reasons:
- Substitute for pressure washing
Power washing creates erosion and strips away materials that may have been loosened up by decomposition or aging. It might be suitable for some projects and not others.
- It actually treats the infestation
Your home or business isn't only dirty – it's infected. Typical power washing simply gets rid of the outer layer of this growth and does not fix the root of the problem, leaving your surface vulnerable again not long after power washing is finished.
- No damage from pressure
Poorly trained or inexperienced power washers can cause serious damage to a roof or other surfaces, especially if it's older to start with.
- More eco-friendly cleaning option
Pressure washers use from 3 to 8 gallons of water per minute (gpm). In one hour of cleaning a power washer can utilize from 180 gallons upwards to 480 gallons of water. Conversely, soft washing only uses approximately 60 gallons of cleaning solution, which is made up of about 40 gallons of water.
The cleaning solution is so effective that it lasts 4 – 6 times longer than power washing, making it more sustainable for the environment and your wallet.
